Title: Taming a Rogue Earl

Taming the Heart #6

Author: Tammy Andresen

Synopsis:

Lord Lucius Loudoun is capable of success in only two endeavors… work and women. Bedding them, anyway. He’s given up trying to accomplish anymore. So why is he even tempted by an innocent like Miss May Stanley?

May has loved Loudoun since she was a child, but he looks straight through her, still treating her like she’s a girl of thirteen instead of a woman of twenty. How will she ever convince him to give her a chance?

As the two tangle, attraction ignites, but can that spark become a flame?

Review:

Taming a Rogue Earl was a short and sweet historical read. It kept me reading throughout and I couldn’t wait to finish it. When you think of an Earl, you think of England. However this story takes place in America, which was a nice change in pace. I’m not much of a history buff but it is always fun to read historical works no matter how accurate they are or not.

Loudoun is a man who has made many mistakes in his past. In order to start fresh, he gives up the live of an Earl and leads the life of a working man. It has been many years since he last saw May. Since then, she has grown into a lovely woman. He tries hard to ignore this fact but he slowly develops feelings towards May. May on the other hand, has always had feelings for Loudoun. Now that she is a grown woman, she tries her hardest to land the perfect husband.

I read this book in a day. It was a combination of it being a relatively good sized book and a huge attention grabber. I loved it! It was a very easy read and highly enjoyable the entire time. For those looking for a historical read that is just the right length and has just the right amount of steam and romance, then this is for you.
