Book Description:

In a spellbinding new Argeneau novel from New York Times bestselling author Lynsay Sands, a dangerous rescue is just the beginning of red-hot adventure…

Ever since Domitian Argenis recognized Sarita as his life mate, he’s been waiting for the perfect moment to claim her. Those fantasies did not include him being chained to a table in a secret lab, or both of them being held hostage by a mad scientist. Somehow, they have to escape…

Sarita has seen some crazy things as a cop, but nothing to rival Domitian. A vampire? Seriously? But his healing ability, incredible powers, and their mind-blowing physical connection-none of it should be possible, yet her body knows differently. Now, not only do they have to save each other, but other innocent lives are at stake. Failure is not an option, for Sarita intends for Domitian to show her exactly what an eternity of pleasure feels like…

Review:

I received this book as part of the Bewitching Book Tour for Immortal Unchained, I had heard a lot about the series and had even picked up two previous books in the series, they are written well enough to be stand alone books from my experience with the two I picked up not realizing they were books 5 and 6 at the time, I honestly picked up those because the covers intrigued me and I was going on a shopping spree for books, but had been told a few times, and even my fellow blogger from Ctrl, Alt, Books! even inquired about reading it as a stand-alone, so I took my chance, having read two previous books, why not?

Now back to this one, the beginning was  rather slow for my taste, though it still was interesting enough to hold my attention and not have me put the book down as fast as I have with others. The plot was interesting and the characters really intrigued me, as many know, I love a good romance book that incorporates the “paranormal”, so in that aspect this was something I really enjoyed but alas I was still tilting my head at some parts, and this could be because I have not read the entire series, but regardless, I still really enjoy it and now am interested to read what I may have missed from the others.
